Gemstone Report

CGRL can currently issue international reports for all types of gemstones and jades, and can detect more than 100 varieties. The following is the interpretation of the format and content of the report:

Report Number: Each piece of jewelry or gemstone inspected will have a unique number.


Date: The date each piece of jewelry or gemstone was sent to the laboratory for testing.


Item: Give a Simple description of the shape of the sample to be tested.


Species: The gem mineral species of the sample examined.


Variety: The gemstone name of the sample under inspection.


Weight: The weight of the tested sample, in g (grams) for jewelry and ct (carats) for loose stones.


Shape: The shape of the inspected loose or mounted gemstone.


Dimensions: The three-dimensional size of the bare rock to be inspected, generally arranged in the order of length, width and height.


Cut: The cut of the loose or mounted gemstone under inspection.


Color: The color of the inspected loose or mounted gemstone.


Comments: In addition to the above parameters, some other contents of the tested sample will be described here.
